Gemini Full Moon: 4th December 2025, 23:13 UTC, 13+ Gemini/Sagittarius
Immediately noticeable in tomorrow’s Full Moon chart are the luminaries closely squaring the lunar nodes, all being at 13+ degrees of their respective signs.*
Personally, I find the lunar nodes among the most interesting facets of astrology, as they can describe pretty succinctly the journey of the soul, whether individual or collective. The North Node represents what we are striving towards and attempting to embody; the South Node, that which we must overcome, let go, leave behind, and so on. We all have this signature somewhere in our natal chart, indicating where tends our most profound quest for emotional and spiritual development.
For an event chart such as the current one, the Nodes can function in various capacities. In a very broad sense: they outline the challenges and decisions facing our species**; they help us stay on track; and they suggest the kinds of values we need to embrace in the moment. To be brief: the North Node in Pisces and the South Node in Virgo tell of aspiring to understand the big picture instead of getting lost in unimportant details.*** In addition, a leading characteristic of all four areas involved, called the mutable signs, is variability – even, sometimes, on important matters, where consistency is requisite.
With regard to our present situation, reclaiming autonomy over our own mental space likely involves understanding where each of us can most easily bring about positive outcomes and changes, and which of the barrage of attention-grabbing headlines are mere distractions, designed to sap our focus and draw us away from what actually matters. This tactic is necessary to keep in mind, as the flood of meaningless information, disinformation, half-truths and outright lies is deliberate and constant, and will probably only increase with the desperation of those employing it.
Perhaps just now we need to step back awhile from the maelstrom and remind ourselves, first, of that core being within each of us, those principles by which we intend to stand firm no matter the circumstances. Such concepts are easily lost to the memory amid a battle on so many fronts; however, by holding them in view, we can allocate our energies and skills more effectively, and so better serve our role on the wider stage.
* The lunation also happens fairly near (zodiac-wise) to a deep-space point known as the Great Attractor, currently hovering about 14+ Sagittarius. The Great Attractor is usually viewed as a signifier of polarisation or absolutist thinking. See this piece for more information.
